Guisborough Forest & Walkway covers a large area, and can serve as a starting point to access further away points of interest such as Roseberry Topping and Captain Cooks Monument for keen walkers. For families, or those just after a bit of fresh air, there are well maintained footpaths easily accessible from the car park. Please note however that not all the paths are on a level, there a steps up and down required to do a full curcuit of the main paths. For Kids, there is a fitness trail to follow through the forest, and an activity area of primarily chain ropes- both perhaps more suitable for older children. Overall, a great base for exploring Guisbrough Forest but not fully accessible for those with a pushchair or in a wheelchair.
POINT TO NOTE: The car park is not always open. On one occasion we arrived during the day on a bank holiday to find the gates locked.
There is limited parking on the street outside but if disappointed then perhaps try Roseberry Topping just down the road.
